导语The BYD Qin is a compact sedan. Its new generation is built on the BNA architecture, and has been pre-sold at the Chengdu Motor Show in September. The pre-sale price of its fuel version ranged from 66,800 yuan to 86,800 yuan, while the pre-sale price with subsidies of the pure electric version ranged from 139,800 yuan to 146,800 yuan. IIA learned from BYD that the new generation of the Qin will meet with consumers on November 5. The new car uses the latest family design Dragon Face and will be equipped with the DiLink intelligent interconnectivity system.
Fuel Version
The exterior of the new car has a new look, and the front-end family-style Dragon Face design is quite stylish. The grille has a traditional banner style and is adorned with chrome on the top to extend the visual width. The multi-point LED lighting units inside the headlight are matched with the “L” daytime running light, which is full of technology when lighting. The grille at the bottom of the bumper runs through the left and right, which is very simple.
The long waistline on the side of the car body extends to the rear, while the dark-coated multi-spoke rim and reduced center of gravity add a sporty feel to the new car. At the rear, there is also a through-plated chrome trim similar to the front, and the horizontal taillights are added to the LED strip.
The fuel version of the new Qin is powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 80 kW and a peak torque of 148 Nm. For the drive system, it matches the manual or CVT gearbox.
Electric Version
The new BYD Qin EV features a Dragon Face design with a front-end closed grid grille identical to the Qin Pro. However, unlike the latter, the through-plated chrome trim on the front end is designed at the top and extends to the top of headlights. The internal structure of the headlights is in an array layout.
The new car has a length, width and height of 4,675 mm, 1,770 mm and 1,500 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. The rear design is basically the same as the fuel version. It uses a slender chrome trim to connect the left and right taillights and adds the EV logo.
The interior color of the new car is mainly in black, and the three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel is sporty and wrapped in leather. The suspended large-size display at the center console is quite eye-catching, enabling horizontal and vertical rotation switching and is integrated with the DiLink intelligent interconnectivity system. Several physical buttons are set on both sides and rear of the electronic gear bar, which improve the convenience of operation.
In terms of power, the new Qin EV's motor can reach a maximum power of 100 kW and a peak torque of 180 Nm. The capacity of the ternary lithium battery is 53.1 kWh, the energy density is 160 Wh/kg, and the NEDC comprehensive cruising range reaches 421 km.
