PV's sales narrowed in November, said CAAM

On December 10, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) released the production and sales data in November. It is reported that the overall economic performance of China's auto industry last month was better than that in October. Among them, the output growth rate was significantly higher than sales, and commercial vehicles performed better than passenger vehicles. From January to November, automobile production and sales still fell year-on-year, but the decline in production and sales continued to narrow slightly compared with the previous 10 months.

Overall production rebounds, sales decline continues to narrow

In November, China's overall automobile production was 2.593,000 units, an increase of 13% month-on-month and an increase of 3.8% year-on-year. The rebound in production reflects that some companies have started to replenish inventory after upgrading emission standards and dealers have taken the initiative to destock, which has also restored the production rhythm. In addition, it also reflects the renewed confidence of automakers in the market.

Last month, the overall sales of China's auto market reached 2.457 million units, an increase of 7.6% month-on-month and a decrease of 3.6% year-on-year. Although still in a downward trend, the decline was narrowed by 0.5 percentage points compared with October. From January to November, China's auto market output was 23.038 million, a year-on-year decrease of 9%. Cumulative sales reached 23.11 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 9.1%.

PV's decline narrowed, MPV declines most

In November, China's passenger car market output was 2.163 million units, an increase of 11.6% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 1.9%. Overall sales reached 2.057 million units, a 6.7% increase from the previous month and a 5.4% decrease from the same period last year, but the decrease was 0.4 percentage points lower than the previous month.

In the first 11 months, the total output of the passenger car market was 19.175 million units, a decrease of 10.7% year-on-year, and the cumulative sales reached 19.231 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 10.5%. Among them, the production and sales of sedan both decreased by 11.7% year-on-year, the production and sales of SUVs decreased by 8.6% and 7.1% year-on-year, the production and sales of MPVs decreased by 18.2% and 20.7% year-on-year, and the production and sales of crossover passenger cars decreased by 4.6% and 13.3% .

Commercial vehicle production and sales keep growing

In November, commercial vehicle production was 430,000 units, an increase of 20.3% from the previous month and an increase of 14.6% year-on-year. Among them, the production and sales of heavy goods vehicles last month were 119,000 and 102,000, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 32.2% and 13.8%.

From January to November, China produced 3.863 million commercial vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%, and cumulative sales reached 3.879 million, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%. Among them, the production and sales of passenger cars were 408,000 and 411,000, respectively, down 6.1% and 1.9% year-on-year. The production and sales of trucks totaled 3.455 million and 3.468 million, respectively, with output up 1.1% year-on-year and sales down 1.5% year-on-year.

NEV fell for five consecutive months

In November, China's NEV output was 110,000 units, a decrease of 36.9% year-on-year, and overall sales reached 95,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 43.7%. Among them, BEV production and sales were 96,000 and 81,000, respectively, down by 29.6% and 41.2% year-on-year, and PHEV production and sales were completed by 14,000, down by 63% and 54.4% respectively.

From January to November, NEV produced a total of 1.093 million vehicles, an increase of 3.6% year-on-year, and cumulative sales reached 1.043 million, an increase of 1.3% year-on-year. Among them, the production and sales of BEVs were 891,000 and 832,000, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 10.3% and 5.2%, and the production and sales of PHEVs were 201,000 and 210,000, respectively, a decrease of 18.7% and 12.1% year-on-year.

Year-on-year growth in exports

In November, the number of China's automobile exports reached 83,000, a decrease of 4.3% month-on-month and an increase of 8.3% year-on-year. Among them, the export volume of passenger vehicles was 60,000 units, a decrease of 7.8% month-on-month and an increase of 18.6% year-on-year The export volume of commercial vehicles reached 23,000 units, a month-on-year increase of 6.1% and a decrease of 12% year-on-year.

From January to November, a total of 918,000 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points from January to October. Among them, the export volume of passenger cars was 646,000, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%. Commercial vehicle exports were 271,000, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%.
